The tragedy in every act is perfectly balanced with the other elements of the game, from beginning to end. Top notch storytelling, characters and environment. If you can't explain why, don't put it in your list.
The only prerequisites are that they were released on the PS3, and that you have played it. The PS3 generation is about to give way to the PS4, and I think it is time for us all to look back at some of the greatest titles on the console, explain why each one is worthy to us and try to get others to catch up if they're interested in something they had missed.
